Praia Sol Pousada

I really liked the service from the owners and staff. The pousada is close to beco das garrafas, and it’s excellent value for money. Breakfast was very good, the pool was clean, and both the bed and shower were good.

We had a great experience and were welcomed very warmly. The nightly rate was quite affordable, and both the room and bathroom were clean.

The host was polite, attentive and very helpful. The pousada was clean, breakfast had a good variety and should suit different tastes, and it gave us a comfortable place to shower and rest. The air conditioner was very noisy, though it worked well. The nearest beach wasn’t in the best condition, with a lot of litter and noise, so we went exploring other beaches around Prado. We spent the day at the wonderful Tororão beach. At night, the location was much better: just a few meters from central Prado and beco das Garrafas, with its lively food scene and good music.

I think they deleted my comment, so I’ll keep posting until other people know about the owner’s appalling behavior. On 13/01, I was leaving the pousada completely shaken after the scene she made at the hotel entrance, all because I’d asked a simple question about the lodging conditions. I stand by what I said: the owner is completely unprepared, intolerant, arrogant, overbearing and rude. The accommodations are very good, but the poor treatment outweighs that. She needs to learn how to do this work and handle different kinds of situations, or she’ll keep losing customers. And a tip for the rude lady: be careful how you speak, because you don’t know who you were talking to that day!
