As an American who doesn't speak Portuguese, I was a little nervous about visiting, but it turned out to be an amazing experience. The food and drinks were great, everything was very clean and relaxing, and the staff were friendly. Not many people spoke English, but it didn't matter.

The rooms were clean, but the hotel held a conference while we were there, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The food was only so-so, and the so-called theme restaurants were poor. Staff generally weren't very attentive. Now Iberostar keeps bombarding us with emails asking for evaluations and sending promotions, etc. That's really baf
