Praia do Forte Hostel

I spent five weeks here as a solo traveler aged 65, in a room with its own bathroom. I really enjoyed the quiet, well-run place and would return to Praia do Forte. The hostel is recognized by Hostelling International and has several kinds of accommodation. My spacious, clean room had a smart TV, effective air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a comfortable bed, and lots of storage. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included, with a tasty selection and vegetarian choices. The staff were courteous, professional, and accommodating. Many spoke excellent English, including the friendly owner and manager, Paulo. The wifi was excellent, and you can rent bicycles. Guests also get big discounts at many nearby attractions and businesses. Lavo, a terrific self-service laundry, is just a few steps away. It worked well for me as a solo budget traveler, and would also suit couples or families with children.

The staff are warm and friendly, and the location is wonderful. It's an affordable, comfortable hostel and a welcoming base for exploring Praia do Forte. I'd recommend it.

The location is quiet and pleasant, with an inner patio where you can sit and relax. It's within walking distance of the main street and other attractions, and accessible for people with disabilities. Breakfast is included in the price, and there's free wifi. Microwaves and fridges are available, and you can buy water. Parking at the front is limited. The staff are friendly and understand English. The hotel provides a bracelet that gets you local tour and ticket discounts. All ages and genders are welcome. Highly recommended as one of the most recommended places in town.

I stayed two nights and had a really nice time. It was relaxed and clean, breakfast was good, and some staff spoke English and were very helpful.
