Hostel Canto do Forte

The house is decent, but it's missing basic things, and the kitchen only has a microwave. Messages take a long time to get answered, and problems in the house aren't fixed promptly. Guests are left waiting at the gate because nobody is there to let them in. We asked for the bathroom to be cleaned that day, but it wasn't done until the next day. If you run into a problem with the gate code or your room key, you could end up stuck outside. I don't recommend it.

On January 31, 2023, I had the unpleasant experience of seeing this dump for myself. It was filthy, had no basic hygiene, no privacy or security, and the area felt deserted. The place looked completely abandoned, and the advertising was misleading. Everything on the site was inaccurate. Their service took hours and showed no respect for customers. I paid the requested 30 percent by Pix, but once I got inside and saw how awful it was, I decided to leave. The service was terrible, but I'd rather lose the deposit than stay. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Absolutely unsafe, with misleading advertising. That's it, no way.

The rooms are divided by plasterboard walls, so there's no privacy at all. There were no pillows or sheets, and nothing in the listing was true. It's a shame. I messaged the person in charge, but she replied whenever she felt like it. No wonder nobody stays in this dump.

I booked and ended up wasting the trip. When I got there, nobody was available, no one answered my repeated calls, and nobody came out when I rang the bell. The place is ugly and isolated, with hardly anyone in the neighborhood, and it's a long way from the beach. The reservation service was awful. I don't recommend it at all. Zero.
