Fantastic!

I’d stayed here three times before, so this was my fourth visit, and I can say the hotel used to be good. My latest stay was from 06 to 08.02.2026, and there were several problems. The parking now costs 15.00 per day. It used to be free when space was available. Pool towels are also 8.00 each now. Before, each guest got one free towel for the whole stay, so bring your own if you come here. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on 06.02.2026. The dish prices have gone up a lot, and the beans were burnt, smelled awful and arrived with the food cold. This was the second time I’ve had a problem with the food, so I don’t recommend eating here anymore. There’s only one working elevator. A handwritten sign says it’s for five people maximum, while the elevator’s own sign says eight. Another elevator has been out of service for over four months after an accident and still hasn’t been fixed. Anyone coming for Carnival 2026 should be ready to take the stairs with just one elevator available. We had a family connecting room with two bedrooms, but only one had a TV, minibar and hair dryer. The other room still has the connections and holes where a TV was clearly installed before. Reception told me there are no longer TVs in this type of room. We found a paçoquita wrapper and a condom on the floor, which says a lot about the cleaning in that particular room. On the plus side, the bedding and towels were clean and barely used, breakfast had the basics well served, and it’s easy to go from the pool across the avenue to the beach.

The pool and location were the only things I liked. The pool doesn’t open until 10 a.m., which is absurd in summer when you’re right by the beach. The hotel also felt completely unprepared and inadequate, and the advertising was misleading. I won’t recommend it or come back. The building has six floors and around 25-30 “apartments” on each, but just one elevator for five people, often with luggage aboard. It serves as both the passenger and service elevator. They said they were fixing another one and waiting for a part, but I looked and there is no other elevator. The staff were mostly grumpy and unwilling to help, apart from reception. We came with a pickup truck and a motorcycle on a hitch, and they said it wouldn’t fit in the garage and there was no room to maneuver. They clearly didn’t know their own space, and weren’t keen to help us either. Our double room was TINY, barely enough room to move around, and the bed was very small too. There was no indirect lighting, the shower stall was cramped, and we had only two pillows, no hand towel and no bath mat. There was no phone in the room, so no room service, and you’d be out of luck if there were an emergency. Breakfast was weak and had little variety, and the restaurant windows were dirty. The room didn’t look anything like the advertised pictures.

We enjoyed our four nights here and would definitely come back. The pool is beautiful, the room was comfortable, breakfast was excellent, and the team treated us well. We did miss having a playroom or playground for younger kids. There’s only a game room with foosball, pool and card games. The hotel is at the far end of Praia Grande, with no beach stall and chairs right out front. But about a five-minute walk away, near the border with Mongaguá, there’s a brick-built stall that lends out umbrellas and beach chairs. It wasn’t a problem at all. Even in high season, the beach was quiet and clean. Lunch and dinner were good, though not excellent, and could be improved. The Wi-Fi was poor and didn’t work properly. The cable TV in the room also relied on the internet and kept having issues. We had mobile internet, so that wasn’t a problem for us, but we’d have been stuck without it. Aside from those few things, we liked the stay a lot. Congratulations to the team for the service.

The view made our stay feel even more special and relaxing, and the food was excellent, tasty and clearly prepared with care. We were warmly welcomed by the reception team, who were helpful, polite and attentive. The housekeepers kept everything spotless and organized, and the kitchen staff were just as friendly and dedicated. Everyone made us feel at home. It was a wonderful five-star experience, and I’d recommend it without hesitation! 🌟
