Check-in was easy thanks to Victor, and our room, 1608, was huge, with a bedroom, living room, and kitchenette. The included breakfast was very nice. It's in a nice part of Recife, fairly close to the airport and about two blocks from the beach. The covered parking is useful in such strong sun. The main problem was the housekeeping. The windows had fingerprints, there was a used bar of soap in the shower, and we had only half a roll of toilet paper with no spare. There's also a rooftop pool and bar, but nobody was staffing the bar during its posted hours. I called the switchboard and was told someone was coming, but after 30 minutes we gave up. This hotel also goes by the name Ramada by Wyndham Recife Boa Viagem.

The rooms are spacious, though you can hear some road noise. Room cleaning is a problem, and they don't replace supplies like shampoo. Reception staff generally don't speak English. The kitchen has a microwave, electric stove, and kettle, but no teabags, coffee, pans, or utensils. Breakfast has a decent selection. The location is handy, near the airport and within walking distance of Boa Viagem beach, with a Walmart nearby and a subway station right next to the hotel. Stay here if you don't expect to spend much time in your room.

The apartments are a good size, and the rooftop pool is a nice extra. The beach is only two blocks away. The neighborhood feels sketchy after dark, so pack your 9mm and you'll be fine. All in all, I had a good experience.

The rooftop and room are nice, and the bed and sheets are okay, but I'm currently living in this hotel parody and would not recommend a long stay. Management doesn't fix problems. The washing machines have been broken for months, and the front desk knows it. They stop mid-cycle when they get hot and don't dry clothes, and the more they're used, the worse they smell. They're just too old, so please stop being cheap and get guests something adequate. The fire alarm goes off three to five times a day because people are cooking. The sauna is being used for cleaning department storage. Letters and packages are held in a cabinet at the front desk, but nobody calls us to collect them. Equipment is being stolen from the gym. The elevators were out of service for weeks after severe rain. Management also didn't warn guests that water was getting into the underground parking lot during the severe rainfall, and dozens of cars were damaged.

The staff were courteous and the service was good during my long stay in the suites. The breakfast spread was excellent, and dinner included a great free salad bar alongside the main course. The surroundings were clean and hygienic, and the internet was free and worked well. I'd recommend it as a budget hotel.
