The location is good, and the place was very clean with a full kitchen. The staff didn't speak English, but they were helpful when we used Google Translate. It cost too much during Carnival, though, and one person staying there kept the TV turned up as loud as it would go.
They came to my rescue after another pousada cancelled my reservation. The owner was friendly from start to finish, even with me sounding panicked 😂. Everything was very clean, the bathrooms worked well, and the suites were really comfortable. I've still got business to take care of in this city, so I'll be back. I highly recommend it!
A good option if you're looking for something cheap near the US consulate. There's no breakfast at the pousada, but a bakery is just a few metres away. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable, there was no blackout shade at the bedroom window, and the bathroom smelled bad.
Awful. The place smelled musty and there were cockroaches. The air conditioner barely cooled the room, and there was no mini fridge or even a little snack or coffee.
It's simple, but everything was fine. The air conditioning cooled well, I felt safe, and there's a good bakery on the corner. It's practically next door to the American consulate. If you're expecting a lot while paying very little, you should look elsewhere.
