Ueli and Mayo are wonderful hosts, and their care for both the property and their guests really comes through. The houses are clean, nicely equipped, and lovely places to unwind. Mata Encantada makes a truly perfect escape, with the forest on one side and the beach on the other. It’s such a peaceful, natural corner of Brazil. I can’t recommend it enough.

The beach is right at your doorstep, beautiful and almost deserted, and the nature around Village Mata Encantada looks like a postcard. We spent a perfect week in this incredible place, set in a nature reserve. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the service was attentive and friendly. The Swiss owners have clearly built everything with care and high standards. I haven’t found anywhere else in Brazil that comes close so far. Great for relaxing or travelling with children. Highly recommended, and I hope to return. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

The jungle treehouse style was a real highlight, and it’s a great place for couples or families. The hotel is very good, and the beach is perfect. Highly recommend it.

The house in the tree made for a really interesting stay, and Ueli and his wife were warm and kind. I slept well, enjoyed the very good pool, and found the pool towels excellent. The beach right across from us was great for swimming. Breakfast was good too, especially the banana and cinnamon cakes.
