Xai Mauá

We had a lovely stay for our honeymoon and were welcomed so warmly. When our car had trouble on check-in day, owner Jaqueline understood and did everything she could to help us keep our stay. We had booked xai Mauá, then the next day she offered us the option of moving to pousada Terra verde. We loved both places. The service, staff, and cleanliness were all wonderful, and we hadn't even realized the afternoon coffee was complimentary. We're grateful and hope to be back soon. ♥️

A terrible stay for the price. It started raining not long after we arrived and the whole room flooded. The power went out, leaving us stranded out in the woods in the dark, surrounded by insects and mosquitoes. There was no internet or cell signal until almost 10:00 p.m.

The staff were pleasant and I liked the location. The rooms are cozy, but I wouldn't recommend staying here if, like my wife and me, you want peace and quiet. A neighbor was noisy, and guests were playing loud music at 00:30. There was no one from the Pousada on site to deal with it. Those people showed no basic consideration for others, but the Pousada should have someone responsible there 24 hours a day in case something more serious happens. For that reason, I can't recommend it.

Our stay here was awful. It was around 20:00, raining hard and completely dark when we arrived, and we found out the power was out. They put us in a different room from the one we had booked, then we had to move all our things the next day. The cleaning was terrible, and the bathroom water, for brushing teeth, showering, or using the tub, comes from the waterfalls and was dirty and smelly. Breakfast was very poor, with stale bread and cake and hardly any choice. There was only one employee doing everything, including breakfast. A very noisy neighbor made it impossible to rest. Also, watch out for the 13% service fee, which wasn't disclosed before booking. To make things worse, even though I stayed and paid, they canceled my reservation on booking as if I hadn't shown up. Just horrible, I don't recommend it.
