Pousada da Nalva

We were made to feel very welcome during our three days there. Sr. Abelardo was kind, polite, helpful, and made us feel at home. The place is family friendly, cozy, and very clean. Our room had a mini-fridge, wardrobe, bedding, small table, sink, cable TV, and a fan. There was no air conditioning, but the room stayed quite cool. Guests can use a shared kitchen, and there is a garage. Breakfast isn't served. It's in central Rio das Ostras, on a quiet street near local shops and the beach. My family and I would definitely come back.

We liked our stay and plan to return to Pousada da Nalva soon. Sr. Abelardo was accommodating and made guests feel comfortable, always ready to help with what they needed. The clean, practical rooms and family atmosphere made it good value. Since the guesthouse is in central Rio das Ostras, transport, beaches, places to eat, and different shops are all within a short walk.

For anyone passing through who doesn't need anything fancy, this is a great value option. We were in town for a wedding in June 2022 and only needed a simple place to sleep for one night, which is how our search led us to this family guesthouse. Sr. Abelardo, mentioned in other reviews, really is kind and available whenever you need help. The setup is simple but comfortable. My room, No. 8, had a bathroom, TV, mini-fridge, wardrobe, and a sink with a tap for preparing a meal. There's also a shared kitchen if you want to make something extra, like coffee. There is no room service or breakfast, but the guesthouse is in the neighborhood's commercial center, so it's easy to find a meal. I recommend it.

The rooms are small, but cozy and comfortable, and everything was clean and organized. It's well located near the center and beaches, with lots of food options around. A great guesthouse. I'll definitely come back another time.
