We called the night before to reserve and explained our bus would arrive early, so we’d need an early check-in. They said that was no problem. We checked in at 8, freshened up, and took a nap. After lunch, when we came back, they said we’d have to pay for an entire extra day for the four hours from 8 until noon. We left and found better, cheaper accommodation nearby. Easily my worst hospitality experience. Save your time and money and look elsewhere.

Andorinha Hotel is a regular place. People do stay for days, but most customers seem to use it as a Brazilian motel. If you stay overnight, you usually get a nice breakfast.

The breakfast is good and covers what you need, and the service is attentive. It’s a very good hotel in a convenient part of Lapa, with easy access to everything. The room rates are great too. I recommend staying here!

A simple room with two shared showers, working AC, and a clean space. Reception was straightforward and attentive. Good value for the price.
