The one good thing was how close it is to Copacabana Beach. The photos on Booking.com gave a misleading impression, and the stay was a real disappointment. It's right at the entrance to the Fabbia Babilonia neighborhood, which felt a little unsafe to us, and that wasn't mentioned. In the room, the curtains wouldn't close properly and the beds felt worn out and very uncomfortable. The common area was noisy, and we never saw any staff during our stay. I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms looked just like the photos, and the facilities were very clean. The location is hard to beat, and it was a peaceful, satisfying stay.

We were there for five days, and the inn was empty. When we asked the owner if we could stay a little later because of our bus, he wanted R$100,00 for that, or R$50,00 just to leave our bags at reception. They weren't flexible at all. That bag fee is absurd since the luggage is left out in a rack with no supervision, lock, or security, and there are no staff watching it. The location is convenient and close to everything, but the inn sits up a steep hill leading into a Leme community, and most Ubers won't drive up. When we arrived, the place looked abandoned. There's no reception service, so getting help is difficult. You're left relying on WhatsApp or trying to find the caretaker somewhere in the inn. We booked a basic room but were put in a “superior” suite with a bathroom. The bathroom was visibly dirty, the toilet seat was black, it smelled of urine, and there was mold on the walls. They don't provide soap, and there was only one nearly empty roll of toilet paper in our room. The next day we had to get another roll from a different bathroom. The shared bathrooms were dirty too, with used soap, towels, and razors left in the showers. The light in the shared bathroom by reception was burnt out, so I showered in the dark. The pillows were so tall I slept with a towel under my head instead. I've never seen pillows that high, and they were completely uncomfortable. The kitchen doesn't have enough cutlery or glasses, so bring your own if you plan to use it. This place urgently needs new management. I don't recommend it and won't return.

The accommodation was up a hill, going into a community, and I didn't feel it was safe for women. The other guests there were all men, and I felt intimidated. The place was dirty, messy, and smelled of mold everywhere. Even the towel in my room was torn. I've traveled all over the world, and I've never stayed anywhere this bad. I was horrified and booked somewhere else as soon as I arrived, but unfortunately the accommodation cost wasn't refundable. Take my advice and don't stay here. It felt like a real horror movie.
