The view was the one good thing, along with easy access to the trail. I was glad to leave, though. In person the place looked very different from the photos, and it was filthy, with no attention to hygiene or basic sanitation. The toilets were dirty, the pool was too, and there were no paper towels. Mosquitoes were everywhere, with no bed nets, which should be a priority given the jungle area behind it. The windows wouldn't close properly, so bugs came straight in and I got bitten a lot.

They overbooked our room for February 16, took our money, and then didn't give us the room. We were left without anywhere to stay. When we raised it on WhatsApp, they ignored us. Extremely disappointing. I wouldn't recommend them, since you could easily get left in the lurch.

There's food and drinks available, and a beach nearby with access close by. A surf spot beside a surf school is also nearby, and you might be able to rent a board there. There's a restaurant and market within walking distance. Sometimes monkeys are in the trees. This place has a lot of potential, but it needs an investment of capital. It could be a great place for a longer stay during the cooler months, especially for remote workers.

Getting there was a little tricky, but it was well worth it once we arrived. We also got to head to Pedra do Telegrafo at 5 a.m. with other guests and be the first ones there. Gorgeous place!
