It’s basic, but it does what it’s meant to. Each bed has an outlet and a place to put your things, and the bunks have three levels. The bathroom was clean. Breakfast has only a few fruit options, and the shared space for guests to mingle is small.

The staff were really friendly, and the location was excellent. The rooms had air conditioning, and the TV had Wi-Fi access and cable channels. Breakfast was another plus. The bathroom stalls are cramped, the kitchen is on the second floor, and there were mosquitoes.

I had a really bad experience. The hostel was under renovation and nobody told me. It felt disorganized and neglected, and the simple place had Wi-Fi that didn’t work everywhere. It’s a little farther from the bars in Lapa, which does make it quieter, but the streets on the way there are dark.

The service was excellent, and the simple place felt welcoming. I had a great stay and would come back. The only downside was the lack of fans, since the air conditioning only runs from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m.

They don’t operate as a hostel anymore, though they still rent rooms to guests. I enjoyed my stay. It’s a very good place in a good location, with a kitchen, TV room, air conditioning in the bedrooms, and Wi-Fi.
