The breakfast was good, and the rooms are large with balconies, though everything feels a little old and basic. The poor pool and beach transport made the stay disappointing. The pool is in a neighboring building and closes for maintenance once a week, but reception didn't seem to know about it. The hotel van to the beach runs hourly from 8 am to 5 pm. I arrived at the pickup point just half a minute late, while the van was still there in a private parking lot, but they refused to take me even though it was empty, just making a rude "no" gesture. I ended up taking an uber. People often say cariocas are rude, but I'd never seen hotel customers treated that way.

I really enjoyed the hotel, especially breakfast. ROBERIO was so professional and patient with me at the restaurant, since I'm a little particular about what I eat and don't eat. He made sure I was happy with everything. Thanks again, Mr. Roberio.

The location feels safe, though it's between 40 minutes and an hour by Uber to reach the main centers. The rooms are lovely and spacious, all with balconies, and the gym and pool facilities are superb. There's also a shuttle and water taxi across the lagoon. Service was great, and the food was okay, but that's Rio.
