We had a really good stay. Paulo and his family are wonderful, welcoming people, and Paulo was very attentive. The place is close to markets and a bank. I highly recommend it.

We stayed for 16 days and were happy with everything. The family is very friendly and hardworking, and we really enjoyed our vacation. Paulo, the owner, was attentive, considerate, quick to respond, and helpful with whatever he could. The service was great. Breakfast was excellent, especially the hot rolls, and everything is homemade. He makes amazing pizza and grilled meats that were better than anything I've had at a restaurant. Mr. Robert, Paulo's father, also makes a great cocktail. The location worked well for us, even without a sea view. It's 14 minutes by bus from Coco Cobama 473 and Ipanema 110. Buses come often and travel faster than taxis. Since it's away from the beach, things are cheaper. There are parks, an Extra hypermarket, Saara, Selaron, and pretty much everything you'd want to visit in Rio nearby. In our experience, getting there from the center is closer and cheaper. We also played football with locals at the stadium. There are lots of monkeys at the hotel, so bring bananas and they'll come running. The hotel exceeded all our expectations.

I spent a week in Rio de Janeiro and chose Connect Ap Pousada. It turned out to be the best choice, with a very pleasant place in a great location. Our host, Paulo, welcomed us warmly and was attentive and helpful. I recommend it.
