The room was very spacious, and after check-in they brought tea, coffee, bread, and jam, which was nice. Just so you know, this is an adult hotel where people come for a night or a few hours. I stayed because it was very affordable. The beds aren't very comfortable, though they seem to be there for doing your business and moving on. Having to leave the room key at reception didn't feel welcoming. If they're busy checking people in, you have to wait to get it back, and they often don't check who you are before handing it over to anyone who gives the right room number. They do this because they don't want guests to lose keys. Check-in was rushed too. The staff member handed me the key and sent me off without explaining basics like breakfast time and location or the Wi-Fi. I had to ask.

A very good hotel, but please improve the breakfasts. As they are now, I'd give you three stars. Please fix them.

The location is central and the area feels quite safe. Lappa arches are a five-minute walk away, as is Carioca metro station, and it's a ten-minute metro ride to coppacabana beach. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and Hotel Manager Moises was brilliant. Really good value, and I'll definitely stay again.

The breakfast was very good and the service was good too. The Wi-Fi was the problem: it was so poor I couldn't connect and get online. A good spot for a couple who like going out in Lapa at night.

The hostel is comfortable, though the road is a little hard to find.
