There are lots of restaurants and stores nearby, and it’s close to tourist spots like the Lapa arches and the subway, which makes getting to the beaches easy. The hotel is centrally located in Rio. The room was simple, comfortable, and classic. Service was good, the staff were kind, and breakfast was simple but tasty. I recommend it!

I had trouble communicating with the hotel because the staff spoke Portuguese only, not English or Spanish, and they couldn’t resolve my issue. When I booked, I received an email saying I would pay for the room on arrival, but the hotel partially charged me on the day I made the booking. I contacted them several times about this. If you can’t speak Portuguese fluently, this may not be the place for you. I’d also avoid booking here because of the problems I had.

The room wasn’t clean, and the bathroom shower was small and aimed at the wall, so I had to move around a lot to wash. The staff were nice and friendly, though. Breakfast was okay, with fruit, juice, milk, yogurt, and bread.
