The staff were friendly, and the location in Leblon is good. There’s a decent amount of space to hang out, but the triple bunks were a problem for me. The top bed was so high that getting up and down was awkward, and I kept knocking into the curtains below while using the ladder. The bathrooms were tiny and basic. Most of the under-bed lockers are so old that they won’t even open, so people leave their luggage on the floor and the room feels even more cramped.

We’d paid in advance, but still left halfway through the weekend because the stay was dreadful. The staff weren’t helpful, the room was dirty, amenities didn’t work properly, there were leaks, and the place was noisy. The breakfast setup also felt unhygienic, and there was no parking.

For a low-cost traveler, this simple hostel covers the basics. It was clean, the shower was nice, and the location was very good. It’s about as decent as you can expect in this price range. The crew could be a little gentler and more welcoming.

It felt like a home away from home. The staff were friendly, the facilities were clean, and I had a great stay. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe, and the beach is very close. A great place for travelers, 10/10.
