The building is badly managed, as other reviews have said, and my apartment was falling apart. The TV didn’t work, the wardrobe drawers were coming loose, everything was dirty with hair and pubic hair, the bed hadn’t been made, the toilet seat was stained, and the internet was down. That’s not even the whole list. They also leave out a lot of details when you tour the place. The laundry room is heavily booked, so you have to reserve days ahead, and the gym has just one machine, which has been out of order for months. They also act in bad faith when it comes to returning your deposit. My worst experience ever. If you’re talking with a woman named Mariana about apartments in this building, get out while you can. I lost time and money, and deeply regret doing business with her. Don’t fall into the same trap I did.

My father owns an apartment there, and the building is being very poorly managed. When I lived there until last year, my husband and I had to fight to get them to turn on the sauna, which is included in the condo. When I moved out and my father handled the move, the former manager Suamy made up things about me to him, saying I supported my husband and rented out a parking space, when I had only ever asked the receptionist to lend one to a friend. She also said my husband and I came home drunk every night, even though that was none of her business, and my father knew it wasn’t true. At the time, we didn’t pursue the matter with the housekeeper after she ruined one of my medicines by leaving it out of the fridge. One of the newer housekeepers even won a case brought by a resident over a theft accusation. The new manager then called my father simply because I picked up a forgotten keychain at the front desk, which a staff member I’m fond of had insisted on handing over. My father gave me the apartment, so residents and owners’ children should be treated with more respect and professionalism. There have always been too many staff and too much gossip, and apparently that’s still the case. My father and I have full access to the condo. I went to ask whether a Turkish eye, a gift from my boyfriend, was still outside my door, and the manager was extremely rude. I’ve been to all the flats in Ipanema and had lived in the one on Barão da Torre before buying there, yet she stopped me at the entrance. Regards.

The place is beautiful, spotless, and fancy, with VIP service.

The receptionist and staff were polite and courteous.
