The view is beautiful, and getting there by boat is easy. The people were polite, and breakfast was very good. I recommend this pousada.

Mara and Will were such nice, attentive hosts, and everything made us feel at home. The pousada itself is cozy, with an incredible view, and it was perfect for a couples’ trip. Ilha da Gigoia really is the Veneza Carioca. Breakfast was great too, and having the right place to rest made the experience.

It’s well equipped and comfortable, with a great location and good service. The kids enjoyed staying there, and I’d recommend the place.

It was peaceful, and once I cleaned the tub after finding it dirty, everything was fine and I got to enjoy the rest of my stay. I was disappointed that it hadn’t been clean when it was my turn, though. Mara is around whenever you need something. It’s a good idea, and things may not be like they used to be, but there’s always room to improve. 🥰

The breakfast was wonderful, and getting in and out was easy. Our room was cozy and smelled fresh, and the view was lovely. The only letdown was that the shower had no hot water, which left us frustrated. Still, we had a great stay.
