Pura Vida Hostel

I ended up staying at Hostel Pura Vida for four weeks because I liked it so much. My Brazil trip wraps up in three days, and I'm already sad to leave. The rooms are really clean, the staff are so helpful, especially Matt and Leo. They're great to talk to if you need anything. Parties and game nights are organized really well, too. Best hostel I've stayed at, honestly.

The private room I'm in now is so comfy, and the location is great. I love how friendly everyone is and how many activities they have. It's especially social if you're travelling alone. Big thanks to receptionists Daniel and Letitia, who were so helpful. I'd definitely recommend it.

Pura Vida Hostel in Rio was a lovely stay. I was travelling solo and found it a great place to meet people, with a really social atmosphere and suggested activities every day. I'd highly recommend it.

There's a lot going on here, with an active bar, people hanging out, great lunch and breakfast, and volunteers who are fun and genuinely helpful. If you want to meet people, this is the place. I really enjoyed my stay, and it made my Rio trip so much better. My private room was comfortable and had hot water. There is music at night, though, so light sleepers might struggle. Somehow I slept through it. The stairs are the downside: there are so many on the way to the room and when coming back to the hostel that it makes you lazy about heading out. Nobody helps carry your bag upstairs either, so pack light if you can.
