I came back for a second stay, and for a low budget it’s a good value. The owners are friendly, though you don’t see them every day, and there’s a nice open area to relax. It could also be a good choice for surf lessons. One thing to know: after checkout, I was charged to keep using the living area and bathroom. Nobody had told me about that when I arrived. A volunteer mentioned it a few hours later on my last day, which caught me by surprise. I’d never had a hostel charge for using the common area after checkout before, and it made me feel like I had to leave or pay. I felt bad, but if that’s their rule, I respect it and paid. Be aware of it before you go. Enjoy the place and the waves.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay and had no other complaints. I did think the rooms needed more cleaning, especially because of the dust. There also wasn’t a bedside table or anywhere to put our bags.

The suite was pleasant, with a view over the pool and outdoor area, plus access to a balcony. That outside space feels inviting and makes it easy for guests and volunteers to spend time together. The team were lovely and friendly, and the shower in the changing room was great, with good water pressure and plenty of water.
