The hotel is in a handy spot, about two blocks from the beach. There’s a snack bar and bakery, pizzeria, pharmacy, and restaurant on the same street, plus Mc Donalds, Spoleto, shops, Itaú bike stations, and plenty more nearby. For the location, it’s very good value. Everything was clean, organized, and well air-conditioned. The breakfast had lots of variety and was very good. The front desk staff were polite, warm, and welcoming, especially Lu, who treated us so well. Early check-in may be available for an extra R$60,00, depending on availability. I’ll definitely come back. I stayed in a Superior Room and missed having an iron, a minibar, a soap dish in the bathroom, and more hooks for towels. The bathroom bin was tiny, and it would have been nice to have another one. I’m not sure whether those things are provided in the Luxury Room.

For the price, I thought the hotel was excellent. It was all really clean, and the simple breakfast was very tasty. The staff treated us so well, especially Ricardo, who was friendly and welcoming. There are a few things they could improve. The room had no wardrobe, so our suitcases had to stay on the floor, and there was no minibar. Rooms on the first floor are near the kitchen and breakfast area, so the noise can be a bit bothersome.

I liked the location, but the hotel’s facilities could use some improvement, and I didn’t have a very pleasant stay. For my first nights, the blackout curtain covered less than half the window, so light kept coming in. I reported it on the first night, but it took two more nights for them to move me to another room. I think the window in the Ipanema room may still have the same problem. On my last day, several breakfast items had run out and weren’t replenished.

We arranged everything by phone and paid for three nights so we could get into the room early and leave later, based on our travel times. When we arrived, the man at reception, who wasn’t friendly at all, told us we had to wait until 14:00 to enter. I explained that I’d specifically booked and paid for three nights to have earlier access. We showed him our WhatsApp conversation with the hotel staff, but he kept insisting we couldn’t go in. It was a lot of hassle. After I kept pushing and explaining my rights in the situation, he asked the housekeeper to clean the room so we could go up. The agreed arrival time was between 07 and 08 in the morning. There was a complete lack of communication.
