Windsor Tower Hotel

The pool and sauna are nice, and the pool and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The rest was a 3-star experience. Check-in and checkout took ages, and reception wasn’t attentive. For small requests like cleaning or maintenance, I’d call, get redirected several times, wait on the phone and then have to speak to different people. The room key cards stopped working several times each day, which was frustrating. One elevator was often out of service and the others were slow. Rooms are small, with an awkward desk area and no bedside reading lights. The AC and minibar were noisy, and the only fix they offered was to turn off the AC.

Guilherme made a huge difference to our stay at Windsor Towers in Rio de Janeiro. We didn’t speak the language, and he took it on himself to find solutions, contact the right people and advocate for us. He kept following through until everything was resolved, even on his day off. His professionalism, kindness and care for our well-being were remarkable, though he kept humbly saying he was “just doing his job.” Windsor Towers is lucky to have someone like him on the team. From the moment we arrived, the front desk made us feel welcome and cared for, and the whole stay was wonderful. We’re very grateful for his help and highly recommend the hotel. The rooms are extremely small, even when you book the superior option, and the hotel gets very noisy at night from cleaning in other rooms. When I raised it with the help desk, they brushed me off. The staff don’t speak English and are extremely rude when answering room service calls. There’s no iron, coffee machine or kettle, and they charge you if you want hot water. I wish I could cancel my stay and would tell people going to the convention to pick any other nearby hotel.

I came to the hotel for a conference and had a great time. The service was great, the rooms were nice, and the location was amazing. It felt like the most wonderful vacation!
