The attendants were kind, the rooms were good, and the location was excellent. There’s no restaurant, though, so you have to go out for lunch and dinner.

We watched the evening come in from our apartment, then made sure to catch the sunrise from the balcony in the morning. The room was beautifully decorated for our honeymoon and my birthday, and it was such a lovely surprise. We were greeted with a big smile and a hug, and breakfast was carefully put together with so much care. The hotel is right across from the sea. We’ll definitely return and keep recommending it. Thank you, Juliana and the Nelson Praia Hotel team.

What happened to the staff from last year? We used to be helped by the same pair, a friendly woman on the night shift and a polite man during the day. He also helped us at another hotel in Cassino that has since closed. We arrived on Friday and found a woman at the desk who we didn’t think was reception staff. She was arguing with a foreign couple at the counter and spoke very rudely, telling them to find another hotel if they didn’t like the price. She said the same to us when it was our turn. We told her that wasn’t how to treat people, but she just shrugged and carried on serving others. We left.
