Hotel Rural Vale das Nascentes

Our room, number 17, was small and cold, with what I think was the worst pillow I’ve ever seen and no suitable blanket for the cold weather. The shower seemed clogged or something, so hot water came out in a thin stream instead of a proper spray. There was no internet in that room either. I own a company and need to work online while traveling to send my teams’ work along, so I had to sit in front of other rooms to get online. There was no phone or intercom to contact management, and WhatsApp didn’t work, so we couldn’t make requests from the room. The whole stay was frustrating, awful, and sad, especially because we were a group of older people who deserved comfort, safety, and a warm welcome. The hotel is completely unprepared and unsuitable for guests. I don’t recommend it. I was there with a senior group from Sao Paulo, Grupo Orquídea, led by Fatima, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Check-in was supposed to be at 14:00 on 09/11/25, but around 16:00 we were still being put off while they cleaned the rooms. That took away our chance to rest after the bus trip and showed total disregard for the plan and for guests. Getting to the restaurant was another problem. It sits at the top of a steep hill with no proper access. The only option offered was an old van with loose seats, no comfort, and apparently no brakes, putting everyone at risk. I’m leaving this review because I’m sad that a trip booked to get some rest left me exhausted and frustrated instead. I couldn’t sleep with such a bad pillow and was cold because the blanket wasn’t right for the weather.
