The pools have almost no shade, and the place was packed. In the evening, tall, unattractive buildings in front blocked the sun from our balcony. It's far from the main city and not somewhere you can get around on foot. There are street vendors outside the resort selling overpriced burgers. If you're visiting from outside Belém, I don't see a reason to go there. Don't waste your time; Brazil has much more beautiful places to visit.

I got an ocean-view suite on the 15th floor for so little that I still can't believe the price. One of the best-value stays I've had in a long time. Highly recommend it.

The restaurant food was good, and there was a great choice of cocktails and beer. The rooms were a decent size and comfortable. At breakfast, though, the budget was being served in an open room, with flies around the fruit. Also, the middle elevator suddenly stops and drops. I mentioned it to a staff member and was told it was normal and happened regularly. There are sales reps everywhere, in the lobby, pool, and game room areas, trying to sign people up as “multipropietario” timeshare owners. Check out at least 30 minutes before 11 a.m., or you could be stuck in line for another half hour.
