The hotel is in the Ondina area. The room was a good size, but it needs some attention and renovation, especially the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, breakfast had lots of choices, and the pool area was nice. The employees were helpful and polite.

I wouldn't recommend this place. When something happened on the hotel premises, there was no accountability. The General Manager seems not to exist and doesn't appear to care. I won't be coming back.

The room we finally got was still gloomy and short on charging outlets, and the whole experience left me feeling seriously misled. First they put us in room 425, where construction was underway. The front desk couldn't understand why we wanted to move. Service felt inexplicably sluggish, and the rooms were dark and dingy. This didn't come close to a three-star stay, never mind four. Sad to be here, and I wouldn't book this hotel.

I wouldn't eat here. The food at lunch and dinner was terrible, expensive, and not edible. Breakfast wasn't much better: the scrambled eggs were either over-salted or so dry they looked like polenta, and the rice was too dry to eat. We stuck to the cold options, yogurt and bread with ham and cheese. I've had food ten times better in small-town hotels.

We lost planned activities because my partner and I were both ill after having a caipirinha and some Coalho on our first night. About three hours later I was vomiting and had severe diarrhea, and felt sick all night. We were staying for four nights. When we told reception the next day, they said they'd contact the nutrition team. We heard nothing for more than two hours, so we had to go back and ask. A staff member eventually asked me a few routine questions, but nobody checked in afterward. The general manager never contacted us, and there was no sign of concern for our wellbeing. We were also charged for things we hadn't ordered. No compensation or goodwill gesture was offered, which was incredibly disappointing at a four-star hotel. I've worked in hospitality most of my life and know how these situations should be handled. The lack of care and accountability is alarming, and it makes me worry about other guests' safety if this continues. I'd strongly advise against eating here unless you're willing to risk food poisoning.
