We stayed in apartment 334 at Bahia flats from April 18 to May 2. The unit we were shown before check-in wasn’t the one we got. There was dust everywhere, and we had to ask for toilet paper, a blow dryer, and an iron. We were also charged for AC and electricity, which is ridiculous. We should have been told about those charges when we made the reservation, not at check-in. Renovation work in 335 started at 7 am and went on all day. Nobody told us beforehand, and the noise made it impossible to sleep in, spend time in our studio during the day, or get work done. We complained several times to Carlos and Maira, but they offered no solution. There was only one working elevator, so we often waited 5 to 10 minutes. My elderly mom couldn’t reasonably manage the stairs. I’d discourage anyone from staying in unit 334. It’s an absolute dump, and the owner should be ashamed of what she charges.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the place is built like a fortress. The rooms are harder to comment on since I believe they’re individually owned, so quality can be hit or miss. Check the Airbnb listings and message the host about whether short stays or weekends are available. Also ask if electricity, water, and laundry are included, or you could find out at checkout that you owe extra money. I’ll bring the staff a souvenir at the end of this year.

There’s direct access to the bar and restaurant next door, and Bahia Flat is clean and well attended to. The sea view is great too. My only complaints are the poor TV picture and the wifi, which wasn’t very good.

The hotel is just 20 ft from the beach, and my room had a great view. I only slept there, then headed out each day to enjoy that view, so I can’t tell you anything else about the hotel.

The front apartments have an incredible view, and parking is very convenient. The staff were super friendly, and the location is great.
