My room was quite spacious, and I really liked the pretty, well-kept garden and the nice downstairs lounging area. The old mansion is also just a few meters from Campo Grande, Teatro Castro Alves, Museu de Arte Moderna, and the cafés along Corredor da Vitória. The guard dog, Diamante, became my best friend. One suggestion: replace the polyester sheets with cotton ones, and get firmer pillows.

We didn't stay because the bathroom is shared. For anyone who doesn't mind that, though, it's a great place to stay.
