COBAR0121 - Edifício Barra Premium

We stayed here as a couple in April 2025, on a budget but hoping for somewhere comfortable and practical. We booked ahead, paid online, and check-in was easy, with early check-in available too. Communication in English over WhatsApp was great, and we had an easy self check-in. The studio was modern, clean, and secure, with a balcony, working air conditioning, a clean bathroom, and towels provided. The memory foam mattress was comfortable but very soft. There wasn't much room for big suitcases, so we used the balcony. The kitchenette had a fridge, microwave, and coffee filter machine, and the TV had Netflix. The balcony looked out over other buildings. The location is convenient and felt safe, about a 5-minute walk to Barra Beach and 15 minutes to Pelourinho. The building felt extremely secure, with facial recognition to enter and leave and security around the clock. You do have to go downstairs to let guests in. The rooftop was lovely, with a pool offering amazing views that stayed open until 10pm. The gym was excellent and open 6am-11pm. We found the rooftop sitting space lovely too. The laundry app didn't work, which was really frustrating and needs a more reliable setup. Good value for the location, security, and facilities, especially if you plan to use the amenities. I'd recommend it as a modern base in Barra.
