I've stayed in a lot of hostels, and this was easily one of the worst. The place was absolutely filthy. The bathrooms went uncleaned for three days, and one toilet was blocked with shit from the day I arrived until the day I left. The staff were unfriendly, almost rude. I met three people who left early too because they were disgusted.

In my entire three months backpacking through South America, this was the worst hostel I've stayed at. It was filthy and moldy, with no atmosphere. The staff were nice, but I couldn't wait to leave.

The staff are really friendly, and the hostel is clean and cozy. There are lots of shared spaces, and it's very close to the beach. It feels more like a family than a place to stay. They also have a friendly golden retriever who says hi to everyone coming in 😁. I'd definitely go back!

What made me stay so long was the people there. The staff were always cheerful and ready to help with any question, and after a while I felt like I was part of a little family. I only planned on three days at Casarao 65, but ended up staying more than 25. It feels like a home as soon as you check in, with lots of room, a guitar and hammocks, and it’s clean too. The location is great, near a local bar, the beaches and lovely sunset spots. I almost never write reviews, but this place deserved one. Até mais!

The owners were really lovely, and the hostel was clean and fun. It’s an easy walk to places, and one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Salvador.
