The breakfast had plenty of variety and was well stocked. I also saw a housekeeper cleaning a room on our floor, and the care she put into it really showed. That makes a difference. We decided at the last minute to come enjoy Salvador's Carnaval and hadn't booked anywhere to stay. At the airport, we checked Booking and picked Hotel Sempre Bahia from the available options. It turned out to be a great choice. The price was about what you'd expect for that time of year, and the location sits roughly between the airport and the Barra-Ondina circuit. It's not close enough to walk to Carnaval, but not too far either. We got a ride there and took a motorcycle taxi back. The hotel itself was well set up, and the staff were warm and helpful. A nice surprise was that they had two professionals offering hair and makeup in one of the rooms. It cost extra, but the price was fair, and it was perfect for getting ready to join the festivities. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend Hotel Sempre Bahia.
