I really enjoyed staying here. The ocean-view room was worth the extra cost, the WiFi was among the best I’ve had in Brazil, and breakfast was a treat. The heated pool was great too. The hotel is a little dated, as I’d expected after walking past it the previous year, but everything was still functional. It’s close to Salvador’s beaches, and many staff seem proud to work there. I heard no one was let go during Covid, making it one of the few hotels to do that. The front desk employee on the day spoke English and recognized my name as Greek. One thing I noticed was that some of the older floor staff could be grumpy with each other at times.

There’s a lovely outdoor area around the pool, and the breakfast buffet had lots to choose from: fruit, juices, coffee, meats, cheeses, and eggs, all delicious. Service was impeccable. The hotel is a handy base for exploring Salvador, with a beautiful beach just across the road and restaurants and shops a short walk away.

It’s only our first day, but the staff have already been great and accommodating. They moved us from a double room to one with a king bed when we asked. They also respond quickly to service requests on WhatsApp.

The whole team made us feel at ease while being efficient and professional. The reception staff, security, and restaurant waiters and waitresses all brought that Bahia feeling. It was a great place to relax and visit the city.
