The staff put real care and energy into helping guests make the most of Carnaval. We stayed for the first half and had such a good time that I can't recommend it more for anyone coming for the same. If we get the chance to come back for another Carnaval, we already know where we'd stay.

The location was great, and there was a hot shower. Diego was such a welcoming host, and the rest of the staff were caring and helpful too. My original room had no window, so Diego quickly arranged another one and let me check in early at no extra cost. A lovely spot for a couple of nights.

Even with so many people in the hostel, it was kept very clean, and with good timing we could cook and shower without much hassle. The staff, including Inbal and Diego, welcomed us warmly and were always around with advice on enjoying Carnaval safely. It was our first time in Brazil, starting in Salvador for Carnaval, and we couldn't have picked a better place. A big hug to the whole team, you helped make it memorable.

The shared kitchen was a great bonus, and the hostel is clean overall, pleasant, and in a superb location. Diego and the staff were warm and gave us lots of tips for things to do nearby and for having a memorable, authentic experience. We had a great stay and I'd highly recommend it.

We were really happy with our stay. The location felt very safe and was about a 20-minute walk from the historic center, and the hostel had everything we needed. When a flight issue made us arrive late, Diego, Eva, and the team reorganized things around our schedule. Diego's map and advice on where to go in the city were better than anything from a Lonely Planet expert.
