The terrace breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were patient and helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, with incredible bay views. Fernanda, the owner, has a wonderful eye for art and decor, and calling Pousada do Boqueirao magical really isn't an exaggeration. It's a bit old-fashioned in the best way, and worth remembering this isn't a hotel. We were lucky to get a room, especially since it was recently featured in the NY Times and may get harder to book. I hope I can return someday. It made our time in Salvador extra special.

The breakfast was amazing, the rooms were comfortable, and the people were lovely. It felt relaxing and secure throughout. A really pleasant stay, and I'm definitely coming back.

The rooms are simple, but comfortable, and the dining room has a spectacular view. The location is convenient too, within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants. We had a spectacular visit. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of different choices each day. They were also happy to make a special omelet and other requests. Highly recommended.

A local tipped us off, so we came by for breakfast. It was the best we've had so far in Brazil, with everything tasting great and a stunning setting. They even have toys to keep little kids busy, which was a fantastic distraction for our youngest. Breakfast costs R$ 39, and it's worth it.

The breakfast at Boqueirão is reason enough to come. A huge table is piled with fresh homemade breads, pastries, fruit salads, and juices. You can order eggs however you like, then finish with a mini passion fruit tart. Pousada Boqueirão occupies two old casarões, with Bahian folk art throughout and friendly, helpful staff. It's within walking distance of the main tourist center, and the back balcony has a lovely view of the water. Our three-person room was enormous and comfortable, with a hammock. The hotel also arranged a reasonably priced, knowledgeable taxi driver and tour guide, who helped our group visit parts of Salvador that are hard to reach on foot or by bus.
