Rede Andrade Barra

Honestly, it was pretty awful. The air conditioning worked better than at the last hotel I stayed in in Barra, which is why I’m giving it two stars. The front desk staff seemed uninterested and were slow. Nobody cleaned the room during my two-night stay, and there was someone else’s hair in the bathroom. I don’t like these run-down chains that seem to make no effort. I only chose this place for its location and price. Otherwise, it isn’t worth it.

We stayed just one night. The breakfast was really poor, and the hotel was very old, unlike what the outdated website pictures suggested. They didn’t have the family room we’d booked and threw together a horrible substitute. We had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs because the lift didn’t go to the floor they put us on. The room was filthy, with mold on the walls, a broken toilet seat, and exposed live electrical wires.

The location is the only strong point. The room was filthy, with stained, dirty towels and mold throughout the room and bathroom. The lack of cleaning was obvious, and the whole place felt disgusting. I’m never coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Breakfast was basic and so crowded it was hard to enjoy. The pool had the same problem, with too few chairs. The elevator took forever, the place wasn’t very clean, and they didn’t change the sheets daily or provide extra towels. Check-in was the worst part, slow and difficult. They gave us just one key per room, and often we had to reactivate it before going back upstairs. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you can afford to pay a little more.
