The mall was an easy walk away, and the view from my room was excellent. Those were the only real positives from my 12 night stay. I’m not from Brazil, for context. The room had a strange push button bathroom sink with no hot water. Cleaning staff came to clean at 8:45 on a Saturday. I sent her away, but she never returned. There was loud music late at night, and the bed was uncomfortable. The laundry took more than two days, and they lost my laundry bag. After the restaurant failed to scan my card properly, they called at 10 pm and asked me to come back and pay again. I’d requested late checkout two days ahead, but they couldn’t arrange it. At my previous hotel in Salvador, Quality, late checkout was no problem. There were too many issues here. The restaurant food was poor too. The chicken parmigiana was soggy, and the pizza had no flavor. I was so disappointed that I tried to leave early, but there was no vacancy elsewhere. I don’t recommend this hotel, and it doesn’t deserve the 4 star rating it apparently has.

The breakfast staff really make you feel like royalty, and the service overall was five star. The rooms were sparkling clean, and the gym was professional. The place and vibe were both great, while the price was a little less impressive. Wi-Fi was the one weak spot. A lovely Mercure standard gem in Salvador, with a perfect mix of comfort and Axé! ✨🏨

The breakfast was basic, and I’d expected cappuccino. Noise was another issue, partly because the bathroom window wouldn’t close. It was irritating when the cleaning staff tried to come in around 9-10 am. I’d expected more.

The rooms were awful, with old sheets and towels and rusty toilets. The location is inconvenient, tucked behind a gas station on what seems to be a highway. This feels more like a motel than a hotel, and I can’t believe Acor hotels is behind it.

I enjoyed my stay and made good use of the gym and pool. Having a taxi rank right outside was handy. There were barking dogs nearby, though, and I was disappointed that there weren’t any tea or coffee facilities in the room. A guide to local amenities would have helped.
