The heated pool was so lovely I didn't want to leave, and the inn is just 4 km from caraça, with paved road right up to the door. The whole place is beautiful and well cared for, and the bathroom is spacious with a wonderful shower and hot water even at the taps. The chalet where I stayed had a view of caraça, air conditioning, and a mini-fridge. The room was spotless, with wonderful pillows and a mattress, and bedding worthy of a five-star hotel. The owners, Sr. Eustáquio, Sra Elo, and Didi made me feel at home and part of the family. Breakfast was another highlight, with lots of local baked treats and good coffee, all served generously. Everything I ate felt made with love. It really felt like a little piece of heaven. One thing to plan for, especially with kids, is evening food. The inn doesn't serve dinner or afternoon coffee, so check out the local restaurants ahead of time.

A few things could be better. The fridge only has water, so it'd be nice to have a beer, soda, or something like chocolate to snack on. Also, there's a dog kennel near the rooms, and the dogs bark at night. That can really bother light sleepers. There's room behind the pool where the kennel could go. Otherwise, the place is fantastic. The lawn is perfectly trimmed, and the heated pool is carefully maintained. The bed is very comfortable, with high quality sheets and bedspread, and there's air conditioning, a smart TV, and a great shower. Breakfast is thoughtfully done too. The owners are very welcoming, and the caretaker, Sr. Ramon, is friendly. I'll definitely come back.

The hosts are very attentive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Pousada Capão da Coruja also has a lovely setup, with a pool, comfortable rooms, a connection to nature, and a beautiful view of Serra do Caraça. It's well located for driving to Barão de Cocais, Catas Altas, Santa Bárbara, and Santuário do Caraça. There are also good restaurants nearby, including some within walking distance. My only suggestion is breakfast. It was good, but could be a little better to match the inn's otherwise excellent standard. I'd recommend staying here.

The heated pool sits among a lovely garden and lots of greenery. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, with a great bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options in the best Minas Gerais style. An excellent inn, just 4 km from the entrance to Santuário do Caraça.
