Sobrado Express - Santa Cruz do Sul

The price is very affordable, especially compared with hostels and campsites I’ve stayed at that cost more. It has what you need to rest during a trip, and since I knew it was a seasonal place, I stayed for two days. There’s a good bathroom, a small fridge, a sink, a TV, three bunk beds, and air conditioning. For that price, what else do you need? The neighborhood is nice, with a supermarket three blocks away. There’s no garage, but my motorcycle fit through the entrance gate just fine.

It’s fine for sleeping, but the place is very small, and there’s no sink in the bathroom. Street parking was full, so we left the car in front of a garage beside us that looked unused. A woman came out and told us to move it from her garage. She said renting it would cost 10 reais per day.

Cheap place, with not much in the way of hygiene or upkeep. For people who consider themselves old school.

The mini apartment is in a nice, quiet, safe area near a mall, supermarket, and restaurant. It’s genuinely very small, though, and spending a whole day inside can feel uncomfortable and a bit claustrophobic. It’s ideal if you have events keeping you busy all day and only come back at night to sleep.
