The bathroom sewage smell hit me as soon as I entered the room, not the welcome you want after a long workday. The room service setup was frustrating too: the menu was supposedly digital, but there was no QR code in the room. I called reception and waited 30 minutes, following up twice before I could see it. When the food arrived, the chicken was rubbery and completely tasteless. I also asked the front desk for an envelope and was told they had none. Housekeeping came at a different time every day, so I couldn’t plan my work around it. I’ve stayed here for business for years, and each visit has made me less satisfied. This time was the last straw. I won’t return.

I’ve stayed here many times when visiting Santos, and I love this hotel. In the off-season, Novotel costs literally half as much as any hotel in the United States, while offering comparable quality, plus a great gym, spa and pool. I still don’t know how the pool on the top floor stays cold when the ocean is so warm, lol. This time we’re heading out on an international cruise. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the beach, right next to a drugstore, shopping center and coffee shop. I love the Nespresso machines here too. Babbo Cantina Americano, my favorite restaurant in santos, is just down the road.

The staff were lovely and always smiling, and the hotel restaurant on the 6th floor serves a good breakfast and a nice dinner. Rooms are clean and cozy, with quality housekeeping, and I felt safe and relaxed during my stay, whether for tourism or business. The location is ideal, close to the beach, malls and restaurants. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was lovely, and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The hotel itself was quite lovely too, but the waterproof covers on the mattress and pillows made for a terrible night’s sleep. They rustle when you move, especially the pillow right beside your ear. With kind regards, Karen
