The owners were there whenever we needed them and always ready to help. They make breakfast themselves, and it’s delicious, served on a deck with a wonderful view. The guesthouse is just what we wanted, simple and cozy. We’d definitely recommend it.

The guesthouse is 2 km from the town center, easy to reach, and faces the mountain. Jeferson and Tauany were warm, attentive, and excellent hosts. They sent us a WhatsApp guide to restaurants and tourist spots. Our room was clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed, hot shower, and excellent Wi-Fi. There’s secure indoor parking. The only thing missing was somewhere to put clothes and luggage. Breakfast was tasty, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s good value if you want to relax and enjoy nature, including waking up to birdsong.

Jefferson was excellent both on WhatsApp when we booked at the last minute and in person. We were going to Pedra do Baú early, leaving at 6:15, so he adjusted breakfast for us and brought it in a basket the night before for us to put in the mini fridge. Some reviews say breakfast comes from a bakery, but it’s now served at the guesthouse. The breakfast he prepared for us was already great, and I imagine the regular one is even better since those items are made fresh. Jefferson does his best to meet guests’ individual needs, even with a full house during Carnival. The location is convenient, near the center, easy to reach, peaceful, and has a nice view. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and tidy, with a good shower, a small balcony table, a mini fridge, and enough space. The place is simple, and our room was a little stuffy, but it didn’t bother us at night, even in summer, and there’s a fan in the room. Don’t expect luxury, but it’s good value for the area and the service is excellent!

The countryside view is nice, and the place is quiet, but you’ll need transport to get around because the guesthouse is outside town in a rural area. For restaurants, a pharmacy, a bakery, or other conveniences, you’ll have to drive. It’s a simple place with no particular luxury, so I don’t think it deserves more than two stars. The rooms are clean and orderly, with a good shower, cable TV, free Wi-Fi, and secure private parking. There’s nowhere in the rooms to store clothes or luggage. The property has apartment-style rooms and chalets. Not all the upstairs rooms are accessible to people with disabilities, and there are only a limited number of rooms on the ground floor. Breakfast is basic, so don’t expect much. It’s worth considering for the peace and quiet, but if you want more conveniences, look elsewhere.
