The heated pool area was badly maintained, with slime on the floor and such a strong musty smell that it was almost impossible to use. The inverter air conditioner couldn’t keep up with the cold. Even on maximum heat, the room got down to about 9°C, which was very uncomfortable. I arrived around 1 p.m. and was told that, despite booking full board, lunch wasn’t included on the first day and the first night’s rate only covered dinner. I complained, but the hotel said that was its policy. Then I had to switch rooms twice because the whirlpool tubs wouldn’t fill properly and only had cold water. I finally settled into the third room at 6 p.m., after arriving at 1. The room was spacious but poorly laid out and furnished, so much of that space was hard to use. Several glass ceiling panels had only unsuitable curtains, leaving the room far too bright, even at night. Breakfast and the restaurant were just okay. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, except for the person handling check-in. Getting to the hotel was difficult too: there are about 20 km of rough dirt road, and in rainy weather it can be very hard without a 4x4. The value for money was awful. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The place itself is wonderful and beautiful, and the staff were very helpful. We can’t complain about how we were treated. Still, my second stay at divisa was a letdown. We’d been there once before, in June 2025, and that visit was a 10/10. This time we came to celebrate my husband’s birthday, but one frustrating thing followed another. Our room wasn’t as clean as you’d expect when arriving at a hotel, and it felt like there weren’t many staff around, even though we arrived on a Thursday when it was quiet. We also found some really ugly spiders in the room, which I think may have been because it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The food setup on weekdays was the biggest disappointment. We went for lunch and dinner and there were only two choices, both with red meat, plus one dessert and one salad. Nobody told us it would work that way. We knew how meals had been handled on our previous visit, so we were visibly frustrated. It’s a shame that such a lovely place seems to have been sold or leased to a large company. Before, you could feel how much care the family put into it, and that wasn’t the feeling this time.

The place is very beautiful, largely because of the natural scenery, but the stay itself needs a LOT of work. For the nightly price and the promise of an “experience,” it falls well short. I think there are places with much better value, for example on the other side of the dam. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re hoping to disconnect. We spent most of our time chasing fixes, often through WhatsApp, and couldn’t relax. Check-in was confusing from the start. Cars were available to take guests to their accommodation, but nobody organized the line, so people kept cutting in. It was unclear how to move our luggage from one car to the other. We also weren’t told about the hotel’s amenities or meal times. The receptionist just sent a link on WhatsApp with the information, which immediately meant more phone use when we’d hoped to get away from it. In the apartment, rain came through the roof all night, dripping heavily and ruining my sleep. I reported it to reception, but they only said they’d tell maintenance, with no clear action to make us more comfortable. The whirlpool was difficult to use too. We had to keep contacting reception to get the tub filled and the jets turned on. They didn’t always respond promptly, and their messages didn’t explain what they planned to do, leaving us waiting inside instead of enjoying the resort. There were other basic problems as well. One night it was below 10°C, but the suite bathroom had no hot water. After a cold shower, reception said we should have mentioned it earlier, without fixing anything. The next day there was still no hot water, and we had to keep contacting them until it was resolved. Even after I raised all these problems at checkout, nobody followed up about what would be done to prevent them in future. That makes me doubt I’d return.
