Pousada Jolie Maison

The breakfast basket was generous, and the pool was really nice. My wife and I had an excellent stay, with great service throughout. The place is just as described, clean and comfortable, with a good bed and pillows. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning, a TV, internet, and a good shower.

The setting around Praia do Ervino was a lovely part of our stay. The beach is only two blocks away, long and beautiful, and quiet without crowds. There’s also a small commercial center nearby with restaurants, markets, bars, and a few shops for everyday needs. The Baía da Babitonga is at the end of the inn’s street, about 1.5 km away, with a wonderful sunset. It’s easy to walk or drive there. To see the central beaches or historic center, you need to travel a few kilometers. That’s no issue by car, whether you take the BR or the beautiful seaside avenue, which is a very pleasant drive, including its dirt road section. We stayed at Pousada Joilie Maison during the first week of January 2026, and everything agreed with what we had arranged beforehand with the team and host Marta. Marta welcomed us herself. The place was comfortable, clean, tidy, and well prepared for our time in São Francisco do Sul. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom and shower were excellent, and the small kitchen had everything we needed, including a fridge, dishes, cutlery, and other utensils. The sheets and towels were clean, fresh-smelling, and well kept. We also had air conditioning, a TV, Wi-Fi that worked perfectly, and a pool that was always clean. The breakfast basket was provided on both days and was more than enough, with a generous serving. Everything agreed with Marta when we booked was followed through by both sides, which made the experience even better. We’d definitely recommend the inn and would come back without hesitation.

We booked four nights and paid the full amount upfront by Pix. When we arrived, the location seemed very poor, the rooms were in containers, there was no TV, and the bed was extremely hard. We stayed for 10 minutes, then contacted the owner Marta right away to cancel. She agreed to refund three nights, but that never happened. Marta stopped replying and no longer answered calls, keeping the payment for all four nights. We believe this was dishonest and intend to pursue the civil and criminal remedies available through legal action.

It’s a wonderful spot for relaxing and unwinding. The inn matched the photos, and the location details and services listed on the site were accurate. The owner welcomed us warmly, and the suite was excellent and very comfortable. I’d definitely recommend it, and we’ll be back soon!
