Comfort Serra da Canastra

We loved our stay and plan to return. The location is convenient and easy to reach, only a two-minute drive from town, and the facilities are great. Breakfast was delicious, and they also offer a varied dinner menu with tasty options. We were comfortable, and everything else felt clean and well organized at a good price. Our room wasn't clean when we arrived, but the very polite receptionist quickly sorted it out by moving us to another room and explaining what had happened. I'd read some comments that made me nervous, but my family's experience was the opposite.

We stayed for seven days and felt very welcome. The hotel, service, cleanliness, and prices were all wonderful, and I highly recommend it. The best part was Berenice, a dog who guards the hotel entrance and is the most loved mascot at Comfort da Serra da canastra. I hope to come back soon. Keep up the warm, courteous service.

I'm still here after checking in Thursday night, with checkout set for Sunday, but the poor service has already put me off returning. On Thursday I ordered fraldinha with fries and got a small portion without cutlery or salt. The room cleaning was worse. On Friday at 3:30 pm someone knocked to ask about cleaning, but I was resting and declined. On Saturday morning, before going out, I asked reception to clean the room and change the towels. When I came back at 1 pm, nothing had been done. I asked again, then went to the pool at 3 pm. Still no cleaning. I went upstairs and asked only for fresh towels and the trash to be emptied. That request was finally handled at 4:20.

We chose this hotel on our first visit to Glória and came back on the next one. The price seemed very affordable for a hotel with such nice, new facilities, and there's room for the whole family. The breakfast is great, the pool is amazing, and there's even a small gym with treadmills for when you don't feel like going out on the road. It's a strategic base for anyone who likes cycling or running, close to trails and many waterfalls. My favorite is the Sete Porteiras loop, about two hours, passing through the Esmeril neighborhood and Cachoeira da Capitinga, where you can stop and visit. The BR road in front is being prepared for asphalt, but it's manageable for heading out to nearby trails. The hotel is at the exit from Glória toward Delfinopolis.
