Pousada Flor de Íris

I had heard great things about this place and loved the photos. I wanted to book it for a special date, my wedding, but the service was disappointing. When I contacted the pousada, they said I had to use Booking. I asked three times whether they had availability for my dates and explained what I needed, but they only repeated that it had to be done through Booking.

The welcome from the hosts is warm and personal, and they make you feel like family. The setting is exceptionally well preserved, with that genuine feeling of Minas Gerais hospitality. My family is from the area, and I spent my childhood, teenage years, and honeymoon in São João Del Rey and Tiradentes, so I say that with some familiarity. The pousada has great facilities and is well placed for nearby places like Bichinho, Tiradentes, Centro de São João Del Rey, and Rezende Costa. Marcos and Claudia are remarkable, kind people. I plan to come back soon for the pousada and their company.

The hosts, Marcos and Claudia, made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived, and their care and attention impressed me throughout. They gladly shared what they know about the region and suggested outdoor activities. The pousada is surrounded by lush scenery, unusual plants, and well-kept gardens, with a peaceful feel in every corner. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with spotless cleaning and charming decor, so I could rest well after a day out. I also explored the ecological trails nearby and enjoyed getting close to nature. The variety of plants and animals was surprising, and Marcos and Claudia's enthusiasm and knowledge made it even more rewarding. I recommend Pousada Flor de Íris to anyone looking for a stay close to nature with attentive hosts. I can't wait to return and enjoy its peaceful atmosphere again.

The hosts Claudia and Marcos made us feel so at ease that we felt like part of the family. The place is a little paradise, with such thoughtful taste and comfort that you don't want to leave.
