The rooms were clean and in good shape, with fresh smelling towels and bedding, and the facilities were quite good too. The management, though, was a real problem. There’s no staffed front desk all night, and the reception workers leave at a certain hour. Entry depends on a remote for the gate, and ours barely worked. We got there around 22:30 and couldn’t get in; no one was around to open it, so we spent ages trying. It was chaos. Breakfast wasn’t great either. We stayed from 10/01 to 11/01, and honestly this was one of the worst places we’ve stayed. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The team were especially welcoming and attentive, and the food was very good. We also found the rooms comfortable and clean. The pousada has a warm feel and a great location, making it a lovely place to stay in São João Del Rei.

The mountain views and fresh air made this a lovely place to unwind, and the pool area has tables and chairs for enjoying the sun. We could use our room towels there, too. Breakfast was generous and tasty, with a nice view of the pool and the mountains. There’s also a kids’ area with some toys near the breakfast room. Our room was spacious and airy, the mattress was just right, the pillows were good, and the split air conditioner worked perfectly. The shower had good pressure and the temperature control worked well. There’s a covered parking area on the property, and getting there was easy. A microwave is available in a separate space for guests who need to heat food. We travelled as a family on March 16, 2025, with our 8-month-old son. Sra. Cristiane welcomed us and paid close attention to making our stay as good as possible. She was naturally lovely with children and treated Pedro Henrique with great affection. It’s a wonderful spot to stay.

The breakfast was complete and just right. Cristiane and her husband gave excellent service, and the room felt cozy, with a comfortable mattress and pillows. A very pleasant pousada, definitely worth staying at.
