Santa Cruz Hotel

The room had a minibar, and the shower worked well and got hot. The service was good, too. Breakfast had a nice selection when I was there, including cakes, juice, fruit, bread, and cheese. The cost was low. The hygiene was poor. My room smelled like urine, and the bathroom items were damaged and dirty. The parking was in front of the hotel. Breakfast is served on an open rooftop terrace, so you hear the street traffic there, and in the room as well.

Breakfast was okay, though natural juice would’ve been better than fruit drink. I was moved to another room after the shower in the first one stopped heating and then stopped flowing altogether. The shower in the new room worked fine. There was only one outlet to use in the room, which felt like too few.

The bed was good and so was the shower. I had no real complaints, aside from the garage feeling a bit isolated, although the car was left intact. For a hotel in this price range, it has what someone traveling for work needs. I don’t understand why hotels in this category serve margarine instead of butter and fruit drink instead of natural juice at breakfast. It wouldn’t cost THAT much more, and it would make the service feel much more thoughtful.

I felt badly overcharged. R$230,00 for me, my wife, and our 3-year-old bought us a terrible, distant garage, no minibar, no air conditioning, a lousy shower, torn bedding, poorly trained staff, loose wires, a neglected reception hall with furniture left lying around, and a noisy fan. I could go on until tomorrow. Too bad I can’t post photos. A fair price would be R$120,00 at most.
