Hotel Mos Sao Jose

The staff were all very polite, and the location is good. Those are the only two things I liked. I stayed for five days, put in the last room on the top floor, right beside renovation work. There’s no elevator, and the machinery noise was insane every morning until 4 p.m., stopping only for lunch. When I asked to move, they said every room was full. The hair dryer smelled strongly of burnt hair, too. At night, the parking lot was full because they had rented it out for a gathering, and the hotel also has a restaurant, so guests might not be able to park their own cars. I don’t recommend this place, and I definitely won’t stay here again.

The location is good, and breakfast was decent, though I expected more for what I paid. The room was very compact and had a strong odor, and the bathroom smelled bad. It’s expensive for what you get.

The team were so friendly, polite, and helpful when I stayed here for the Guns N'Roses concert in town in October. Breakfast was really good with plenty of variety, and it was served in the hotel restaurant during a convenient, quiet window from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in São José. Well done, team!

I booked a 20-day stay and was welcomed nicely. The housekeeping staff did excellent work, but the first room had a clogged sink, so I was moved. Then the construction noise became unbearable. It sounded like the work was happening on the wall behind the room they gave me, with hammering starting at 8 a.m. on some days. After I complained, it shifted to after 10 a.m., but I still think it’s disrespectful to put guests in a room with construction on the other side of the wall. They should keep it unavailable until the work is finished.
